COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — As many Ohioans are feeling the strain of today's housing crisis, others are raking in the profits.
Recently, the state senate created a new select committee on housing to study issues like high rents, rate of evictions and decline of homeownership. However, one lawmaker on the committee put it on record that a key contributor to the crisis is being left out of the conversation and is questioning a conflict of interest when it comes to the state of Ohio and its pension funds.
"I got some issues with this, right now. I just got to tell you," Sen. Bill Blessing (R-Colerain Twp.) stated at the last housing committee hearing.
