"Following an independent review of this matter, we overrule all three of STRS’s objections, and we adopt the magistrate’s decision."

"This decision brings us one step closer to finally seeing the damning investment documents STRS has been fighting for years to keep hidden from pension stakeholders. No doubt Ohio politicians will pressure the STRS board members to appeal the decision and keep stakeholders from learning the truth. There’s only one reason to oppose transparency: you have something to hide." - Edward Seidle

On June 2, 2021, Edward Siedle requested public records from the State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio relating to the teachers' pension fund, as part of his forensic investigation of STRS Ohio. After STRS declined to provide all of the records requested, Siedle filed a Complaint for Writ Mandamus.

Finally, here is Magistrate Joseph E. Wenger's Decision, rendered on May 6, 2025.

"People need to tell board members to resist pressure to appeal the decision." - Edward "Ted" Siedle.

On February 19, 2021, Siedle's attorney, Marc E. Dann, sent to the State Teachers Retirements System of Ohio ("STRS") a request for public records. This information was requested as part of Siedle's forensic audit of STRS Ohio in 2021.
